"The beach was almost as beautiful as the bride," says Steve Street who married his high school sweetheart, Laurel Wedell Riggs, on March 28 on Waimanalo Beach.  The small family ceremony was attended by Steve's mom and two of his brothers (David and Dan) and their two kids (Brian and Anna), all of Steve's kids (Ethan, Elyssa and James)and both of Laurie's kids (Kim and Tracy with husband Zol) and grandkids (Nathan and Caleb) and one of Laurie's brothers (David and his wife Marilyn). All together seven former O'Fallon residents collected on the beach.

"We have no doubts now that we were meant to be together," Steve writes, "but both had some other things we needed to do first, including raising the five unique and wonderful young people who are our respective sons and daughters.  Rediscovering each other, Laurie and I can fully appreciate what it means to be in love, with the perspective of the journey we have each taken to this point."

More news from the Class of '66. This time jewelry designer Karen (Bailey) Tuttle is making news not only in Tampa where she lives with husband Mark but even on Oprah. Seems last summer Mayor Daley's wife Maggie was on Oprah talking about her battle against cancer and Karen noticed she was wearing one of their pendants. After that, someone at one of their shows suggested the design, called Pink Infinity, would make a great Breast Cancer pendant. So, Karen and Mark decided this spring to donate some of the profits to the Suncoast Breast Cancer Foundation. CBS's Life Time and Friends picked up on it and did an interview that ran on television there.  The pendant is even listed on About.com as a mother's day gift suggestion.
